RESEARCH INTERESTS:

My research interests are focussed on the physics of Laser Fusion and improving our ability to model, design, diagnose and interpret experiments.

Particular areas on interest include implosion design for laser direct drive and shock-augmented ignition concepts. The physics of laser-plasma interactions (LPI) and the development of improved in-line LPI modelling capabilities within radiation-hydrodynamics codes including the laser-imprint induced Rayleigh-Taylor instability.
